How to connect to InsightAgent MCP
Start with enabled access and an AI client that supports remote MCP with OAuth.

Confirm your access
Create or sign in to your InsightAgent account. Contact support to confirm that MCP is enabled and obtain the connection URL.

Add the server in your AI client
Use a client that supports remote MCP and OAuth. Add the exact HTTPS URL supplied by InsightAgent. This /MCP page is a guide, not the server endpoint.

Sign in and approve read access
Complete the InsightAgent authorization flow and review the requested read permission. Never paste your password, an access token, or an Etsy developer key into a prompt.

The connection requests read access (mcp:read) through delegated authorization. These tools cannot edit listings, publish products, manage orders, or change your account.
Your client may also request permission to refresh the connection; this does not add permission to change your shop.

An Etsy MCP server connects a compatible AI client to a defined set of Etsy research tools through the Model Context Protocol. InsightAgent exposes keyword research, tag ideas, and product and shop snapshots. Its MCP tools do not change your shop.
No. This connection uses delegated InsightAgent authorization through OAuth. You sign in and approve read access instead of supplying an Etsy developer API key to the tools. A custom integration with the Etsy Developer API is a separate workflow.
MCP lets an AI client call selected InsightAgent research tools. It does not provide unrestricted Etsy API access, listing management, or order management. Use the Etsy Developer API guide if you are building a direct integration.
Connection depends on your enabled InsightAgent access and a client that supports remote MCP with OAuth. Confirm availability and client support before connecting. This guide does not guarantee a tested connection in every ChatGPT plan or client.
When MCP access is enabled, active Free accounts have 10 calls per operation per UTC day. Active Starter, Essential, and Empire accounts have 500. Expired Tried Pro accounts are not eligible. Check the pricing page for current prices and billing terms; buying a plan alone does not confirm MCP is enabled.
The allowance resets at midnight UTC. Calls for the same operation share the account allowance across clients and supported API aliases. These allowances are separate from general app credits and Magic Listing limits.
